Being able to turn up and down the volume from elsewhere in the house will be useful.
Well, it works with mine. I have not played with the remote a lot yet, but one of things that really impressed me was the fact that I could choose my various Pandora stations and my other internet stations from the iPad. I had zone one on my sat box. Outside, in zone 2, I turned on zone 2, selected iradio, chose the pandora station I wanted and that was it, worked perfectly plus it also shows the current track. So for me, it has more functionality than my harmony remote or the stock remote. I don't understand why it would work for my 1007 and not yours, maybe different firmware? I'm not at home right now so I can't check but it has been a while since I updated. With firmware, I have always believed if it's not broke, don't fix it so I am sure I don't have the latest.
