'Modern Family' on ABC HD - Page 12

About Phill and spending a lot of money on a lot of stuff, like you mentioned the $2k remote, the over the top halloween house and just destroying every smoke detector in the House, while he's struggling to find customers, but it all could lead to being dead broke and maybe going to Jay for money.

I see Phil working for Jay in the warehouse where hilarity will certainly ensue.

I hear there's an opening for a forklift operator.

Oh wait, I think Manny negotiated that guy's job back after all.
I don't think the forklift guy got his job back, last thing I remember is Jay telling Manny that he won't hire back a guy that harmed "his kid"... then Manny was convinced even told Jay about the anniversary..

Ty Burrell owned this episode for me, especially with the t-shirt, crying and "SWEET BABY JESUS!" In fact this season I think he has knocked it out of the park.

Last year I found his character slightly annoying and Eric Stonestreet was the clear highlight, but this year I don't think Stonestreet has been given material anywhere close to as good as the Fizbo show.

And Sofia Vergara is what slow motion was made for ... I had to replay the teaser a few times!

They should have at least one bee bee gun episode a year. Last year, I think it was the pilot, where Phil kept shooting everyone by mistake. I can't remember anything funnier in the history of the show. Ty Burrell was perfect as the conflicted dad trying to bring himself to shoot his own son (Luke's punishment for being careless with the bee bee pistol), then accidentally shooting him after he decides not to. I cried. And it was in stark contrast to Gloria's deadly accuracy in tonight's episode.

Line of the night..."I could have unbuttoned your shirt."

This shows so hard to focus on because of sophia vergara.

God was greedy when he made her.

Does anybody know why there wasn't a show last week?

Cool, I'll tell my wife, who thought I screwed up with the recording.

Thanks.

But also quite generous...
And surely none could see her and doubt the existence of a loving Creator...

It's such a superb show with an outstanding ensemble cast. But, Ty Burrell is on a plane of his own. I simply can't stop watching him and his little looks at the camera when something happens. His clueless nature combined with his innate sweetness is so much fun. What an outstanding performance.

LMAO. I have to keep rewinding when she's on cuz I miss the dialogue. And I kept thinking, "Are you sure you've looked *everywhere* for those keys?"

Agreed. But he still has some great lines and delivery. "You cheated on me with choreography ... the worst kind." Cracked me up.

Hold on. There's one more place I should check. Wait. I think I found them. Hold still.... keep holding still..... Just a few more minutes........

I almost have them.....

Ok....

Any volunteers to be TSA agents at whatever airports Ms Vergara travels through?

Not a strong episode, but a couple of good lines:

Dylan: I'm never playing dumb.
Jay: I'm on a countdown to a rupture here.

Actually I'm surprised they didn't do a Thanksgiving show.

Yeah. Usually of the A, B or C plots there is atleast one that hit it out of the park. This episode seemed to be the first episode since the season premier to not be great in any of those side plots.

Still some Laughs tho.

Gotta agree. It's a fine line on this show between hilarity and fail, but this one missed the mark a bit. Not to worry, though. Whenever I've been less than happy with an episode, it's bounced back strong in the following weeks. This is one of my favorite shows.

Repeat next week.

Does anybody know why there wasn't a show last week?

Also, my DVR is telling me there's an extra show at 10:00pm ET this Wednesday.

There's no sub-title for the show, the guide info says "A diverse clan bridges cultural and generational gaps".

I'm guessing this is the pilot even though it's marked as a "new episode".

Mine doesn't have the "new" mark for the 10 PM slot so I am assuming it is a re-run.
My DVR is only set to record new ones, and it's not showing 10 pm as new.
Xfinity's Tv listing is showing "NEW"
They cancelled the show that was on at 10 and will be airing reruns in that slot for the rest of the year, then will create a 3 hour comedy block next year.

ABC:
8PM - The Middle
8:30PM - Better With You
9PM - Modern Family
9:30PM - Cougar Town
10PM - Modern Family (R - September 23, 2009)
10:30PM - Cougar Town (R - September 23, 2009)

There are times when I really want to feed Julie Bowen a sandwich. Seeing her next to Sofia Vergara last night was definitely one of those times.

Not me. I'll take the Julie Bowen type any day. (Even though I suspect she's had some "augmentation." That's never my preference for a woman's looks.) Different strokes, but I think Julie Bowen is much more beautiful than Sofia Vergara.
