'Modern Family' on ABC HD - Page 16

I thoroughly enjoyed the Mothers Day show. Jay was VERY good.

Here's to you Mom!!

I usually love this show, but found the Mother's Day episode to be far below average except for a couple of funny lines mixed in.

Far, far below average. Wow, only good thing was a few of the scenes with Jay. The rest I didn't laugh once. Really dissapointed.

one of the best episodes so far

Agreed.

"Wake up and smell the Internet, Grandma!"

"There you go...hands...HANDS!"

I love the show, too, but IMO it's becoming a little stagnant when the situations involve only the members of the family itself. They need to bring in more ancillary players to bounce off of (Nathan Lane comes to mind).

Boy, the season really ended with a whimper. Didn't laugh once.
It wasn't their best, but "not one laugh"? Really? You didn't laugh at Cam giving dating advice on the phone and being overheard and misunderstood? I thought that scene was hilarious. A couple of others, but not up to their usual standard. Still, the best comedy on TV.
Nope. OK ... one chuckle when Manny said he only used the mitt once -- to take a torte out of the oven. But that was it.

I thought the season finale was brilliant! Loved Jay's birthday video and Phil's childhood photo recreation! Claire and Mitchell getting trapped in their old backyard was funny and it was sweet to see their brother-sister interaction. I also enjoyed Phil and Gloria together, though I hope they don't totally abandon Phil's infatuation with her as it provides many humorous opportunities.

I thought this was a lot funnier than the season 1 finale. The show just keeps getting better!

It wasn't the funniest episode of the season, but it was very enjoyable. And, wasn't Claire sexy in that Pippi outfit?

I laughed out loud a couple of times, including Cam's phone conversation that Ray already mentioned.

She sure was. When she said that she was going to change, my first thought was, "don't bother. I'll just rip that off with my teeth."

Could some one identify which episode this is? In the opening, Manny is served scrambled eggs. Jay encourages him to try new things by sharing his experience with crab cakes, and Manny asks him if the movie rights to that story is available.

Thanks Bruce. I recorded it when it was aired again, so there wasn't a way to look up the title at this point.

^^^ You're welcome. Glad to help.
OK I did it again. Does anybody know the titles of the 2 epsodes that were aired last week? Sorry to hijack the thread...

Two so so episodes to start the season.

Good but not great. So Lilly is talking now!?
For all the accolades this show get, for me it's just OK. There were few if any laugh out loud moments for me tonight, I'm finding Phil more and more irritating, he's quickly becoming the "Sheldon" of the show for me - Ok in small does but way over written. Getting an Emmy certainly won't help that situation.
The show does have quite a few hit or miss episodes. Them being on vacation and the part with Dylan acting like he would be a dad to the kids was hilarious.
Yeah the kids are growing up fast, the sisters are almost the same height, Lily walks and talks, although the boys seem the same as always..

(I'm still in love with Sofia ... )
I think they finally realized that "Sophia" was being underused.

I'm glad they finally saw the light, she's awesome, in my opinion.

Probably didn't help they got a new child actress to play the part either.

They adopted her the first season and this is the 3rd season, 3 years later, so why wouldn't she be 3?

My bad, I thought this was only season two.
