2 Repeats next week at 10, nothing on the 22nd, then 2 more repeats on the 29th. They resume the normal schedule on Jan 5.

Just like all eps.

I like the idea that they're finally giving Bobby a little something.

Was there an episode on January 12th? When I sat down tonight to watch my TiVo'ed recording, I got what looked like the back half of Modern Family.

No .. Obama messed up the TV schedule that night. A lot of shows rescheduled the eps set to run that night. Human Target ran its ep Friday for instance...

me too!
It's the first time my Tivo has let me down but I guess I can't really blame Tivo since the show was preempted

OK this is odd, my Tivo shows the Cougar Town ep that was supposed to record last week "A thing about you" will be on this Wed
It shows as a new program and original air date of 1-19-11, so maybe it never aired last week??? I went back to my recording last week(which was a Modern Family ep) and that last week ep showed a original air date of 1-19-11

Ummm ... you may want to look at the post above your two most recent posts for the answer. Reading can be informative....

It didn't air last week. They aired a re-run, since the Obama speech ran over. What was supposed to run last week, will run this week.

Modern Family did have a new episode last week.

Did this actually air last night? It is not on my DVR.

Yes, it was on. Mine recorded it.

You're not alone. I'm on DirecTV and had the same thing happen: my DVR history says that Cougar Town didn't record because of a "programming update." A real bummer.
Didn't think to check that. Mine is Comcast and says didn't record due to previously being recorded which would be from when it was supposed to be on last week.
We had to manually record it since the season pass didn't pick it up. Good episode if you missed it.

The problem with the DirecTV DVR is that it said it would record! There appeared to be no need to do anything special. It wasn't until afterward that you discovered the problem :P

Recording didn't work with Comcast for me either...despite showing that is was going to record.

Still loving this show. Everything last night was spot-on. Amusing that the opening title shot showing, "Do We Have To Do This Joke Forever Now?" above the Cougar Town is still digging at those that cried their eyes out at the title. Even better, was the way they offset that obvious dig with a simple, yet elegant conversation where Jules tell sBarb that she's not only moved beyond being just a "cougar," she's apalled by ever being labeled as such.

If this had a mind-numbingly trite title like "40-Something and Single" it would be killing the ratings. Alas, some will never, ever get past the title; content to glut at the trough of self-rightousness, lost in the feeding-frenzy of far right-wing zealotry, blind to all but two words that mean absolutely nothing.

I also look forward to what preface they will have for the title of any given show, I wonder how many other people actually know they change?
This show is probably our favorite 1/2 hour comedy, you can't think about things too deeply but on that note it's a hoot. It's also nice seeing how well Courtney is holding up, she's sure a fox Busy Philips is also great, as is Bobby, great cast all around

One more episode before it gets replace by 'Mr. Sunshine' for 9 weeks. It's starting to bore me so I'm looking forward to the break.

Good for you.

New epsiodes return next week. There will be one Monday at 9:31 and then back to the regular Wednesday 9:31 time slot.

Christa Miller was on Stern yesterday...she said they have been renewed for season 3
post #113 of 154
Wow, we waited over 2 months for that probably my least favorite C.T. since it started. Hope the one in a few days is far better, don't see how it could be much worse
post #114 of 154
I agree that these first two episodes after the break have not been very good. Hopefully they'll improve.
FWIW I thought this episode was better than the one earlier in the week, one out of two isn't bad I guess...I liked Busy's walk of shame, she finally got her grove back and I like Jewels wine glass Carl?? or should it be called a mug
post #116 of 154
I'd call it a magnum on a stem base.
Interesting that it got held bas as a mid season for next fall. Lost it's spot in the fall.

Probably means season 3 will be it for it. They just lost too many viewers from the Modern Family lead in.
It had a long stretch of pretty funny writing, but of late only the good will for the appealing ensemble has kept it going.
Can't believe this is paritally canned. Might as well let them change the name now.

Hey, we gotta make room for "quality family programming" like; The Ozbornes: Re-Re-Loaded, USA's Next Screech Star, Horny Homebodies of Iowa, Geriatric Jigglers, and The Palin Family Squirrel Massacre/Preggy Morality Hour!

Cougar Town doesn't stand a chance against such "greatness," ala Better Off Ted.
