White Collar on USA HD

figured i'd get an early jump on this, since it will probably be talked about when the season starts (10/23)..

from what i've seen in the promos it definitely seems a different avenue than some of their other shows, and has a slick, stylish feel to it...plus i'm always up for anything to do with crime and bad guys blurring the good/bad line...anyone else interested?

While I'll definitely check it out, I'm not quite as convinced that it's necessarily slicker or more stylish than some of USA's other shows. If anything, it seems a little less polished to me, from what I've seen so far.

Looks interesting....

The website has a little more info on the show as well as a few clips...

What makes you think it's less polished...it seems like they are going for a more artsy stylized appeal with the types of crimes..

sorry for the bump, but i figured some of you might be interested in a positive review for the show

I haven't watched much TV this week so I almost forgot this was starting.

I was planning to watch this just because it starred Bryce from Chuck. I really hope it doesn't suffer the worst end of the USA HD quality level.

Well I thought it was another show that slotted right in to the USA mold - yet another of those cool, fast talking, crime dramas with charismatic lead characters and witty put downs.

And I thought it was highly entertaining for all those reasons.

Eventually USA are going to go one show too far with their style of programming but I don't think this show is it. I could have done with the sliding "swooosh" captions because I've lost count of how many times they've used that visual device.

PQ was pretty good too. There were moments of compression noise which could have been TWC at work, but the rest of the show was clear and sharp.

And Matt Bomer is definitely on his way to becoming a breakout star based on this show. He was good on Chuck, but this charming character with classic style and his razor-sharp cheek bones should get him noticed. Especially if this show actually survives longer than most of the others he's been on. Which based on the pilot I don't see why it wouldn't.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this program. Other than the promos, I hadn't seen anything about it. The characters are great (typical USA), the concept is really just To Catch a Thief and Switch warmed over. No problem with me, however, as I really like those shows. I hope this stays around for a while.

It's got my vote. As usual USA has crafted another great show! I love the "caper" shows.

I agree that it's a lot of fun. USA seems to crank out enjoyable shows at high rate than either TNT or FX, or NBC for that matter.

Yup...I agree 100%. Great show and very entertaining.

The whole cast just works...might be my new favorite show of Friday night...

I made a point to watch this on Friday, and I'm glad I did. So far, I like it a lot.

Makes me wonder -- once Monk isn't on, will this replace it? Or will they move Psych down to 9pm and leave this on at 10pm? They'll have to fill that 9pm slot somehow...

I liked it much better than I thought I would. It's a keeper.

Cleaver scheduling putting it right after Sherona's guest return to MONK.

Yeah I like it too, but my DVRs are working overtime on Fridays now. MB has put his time in on a number of shows over the years hope this hits for him.

I got to believe there is something more going on with TAT, the FBI guys wife, then meets the eye.

Getting the guy from the Chuck show makes this a winner to me, another enjoyable show on USA!
I really enjoyed it. Crisp picture quality, good pacing and a strong story. It fits the USA-style upbeat crime dramedy mold rather well. Not sure that bond theft and counterfeiting will continue to be interesting for multiple seasons though, but I'll enjoy it while it's still good.

Does this mean no more Bryce Larkinon Chuck? Pity, some of the best episodes are when he is around

Well he did get shot and die in last year's finale so he was gone from Chuck regardless....

As far as this show goes, we liked it a lot. The writing was crisp and the acting was solid. It's an interesting spin off of a stale premise (crime procedural) so I'm glad it did well in the ratings (5.3mil viewers).

To be fair, he also got shot and died in the series premiere too

I found it quite enjoyable and both of my thumbs are up.

I really like this show I added it to my season passes on my tivo. While looking through them I realized that I watch more shows from the USA network then NBC which owns USA and that most of the shows that I watch are on Mondays and Fridays.

In upcoming episodes Nataiie Morales from The Middleman becomes a regular, so she should add some more energy to the storylines and keep the show lively.

I recorded this show last week and just got around to watching it last nigh. I think USA has another winner. I watch very little on NBC, I watch several of USA's programs. Since NBC seems to have a problem with viable programming and they own USA, why don't they appropriate some of USA's programs for NBC (or just merge the two networks)?

No comments about Dub Dub? They do need cast new baddies since the one in this episode has been considerably overused.
Welcome addition. She reminds me of how much I miss The Middleman.

As dialouge heavy The Middleman was, Natalie probably thought she had it easy with this show. She had about 5 minutes of Middleman dialouge.

She did look very good in that opening scene designer dress!!!

The problem I have with this show is they have not given enough of a reason for using the con guy to solve cases. The show needs to be a little smarter to justify why he was let out of prison. The writers did a great job when they showed him breaking out of prison, but since then he has not really done anything else that was outstanding.
