Yeah I can't figure that whole mess out, either. I mean, if they own both, then obviously they have to spend money on both...somehow operating USA is cheaper, I assume? So they move shows like L&O: CI over there because it wasn't doing as well as the other L&O shows, yet still well enough I guess to keep it from being canceled.

How they operate the two networks, though, is way beyond me. I'm just glad that USA has such good programming on, that's all! In fact, with the shows they have on, plus the shows that TNT has on in the summer, I rarely if ever watch network programming during the summer anymore. In fact I look forward to summer shows now, because they seem to be so of such a higher quality than most of the shows the networks have on now.

Thank goodness for cable shows like White Collar! I'm enjoying a lot so far...hope it's doing well enough to keep it on air for a while.

You can also depend on them finishing the season out. You can't depend on the major nets to even finish the current season of a show(there are a lot of good shows on the major nets, but you just can't depend on them sticking around). Cable shows are getting much better and they get a much better shot at developing an audience. I'm the same way, I look forward to the summer shows as much or more than I do the fall, mainly because there is no certainty that any of the shows I like in the fall will even make it at all. The major nets have lost me as a viewer on a lot of shows, especially any kind of serialized type.

I so agree. Look at Southland as one of the latest examples of that. NBC gave up on it before even airing the last 6 episodes that were already finished...they didn't even want to bother to show them! It never got a decent chance to gain a bigger audience. I can't even count the times that has happened to other shows that I've liked -- you just start to enjoy and/or get attached to a show, and it gets axed, sometimes even with unaired episodes! (Such as Pushing Daisies.)

I don't know why I keep letting myself get drawn in by the network shows...but I do it anyway, every season. I'm such a sucker, I guess! I'm just glad that there ARE alternatives out there now, such as TNT, USA, etc. that take a chance on new, quality shows, and give them time to develop an audience, even if the ratings aren't always stellar at the start.

The Pilot was really great, but Friday night is the kiss of death. I hope USA repalys this on Saturday (where I saw the pilot ) or Sunday.

USA Network has actually been very successful with their Friday night shows.

True, Monk ending after 8 years, and I think all have been on Fridays, Psych in it's 4th season all following Monk on Fridays.

I'm still watching. I like the interplay between the wife (TAT) and Neal. Though he'll forever be Bryce Larkin from "Chuck" to me!!

This is a really good and nice looking (PQ) show.

Whoa. That was a bombshell of an ending. Didn't see that coming at all.

LOL ... I suspected, yet hoped the writers weren't going to go there.

that was a bit of a story shaker. I don't know how they are going to twist that into something positive but I can't wait to find out. There's just no way Burke is a bad guy, the whole premise of the show would implode.

Evil twin? Surgically altered evil agent? Aliens?

The only thing that tipped it off is when Neal made his confession that he was looking for Kate Burke says the same thing Kate did during their phone conversation. Otherwise I did not see this coming at all. I do expect there is a twist in the works, but so far so good.

Yeah, we were obviously supposed to figure Fowler was the bad guy, setting up Burke for something (and it still may turn out that way), but that was a good twist. Burke looked different, too. The hair slicked back, the way he was sitting, his voice even just a bit deeper and stronger. Is this the "real" Burke?

One thing that caught my attention early in the episode. When Burke was talking to his wife, she asked him if he thought Neal had stolen the diamond. Burke told her Yes, like he was sure about it. Maybe disappointed, maybe more than a little annoyed, but he seemed to really believe it. It seems to me that they've established that Burke will lie to his wife about "little" things, but not stuff like this. He really thought Neal stole the diamond. I was waiting for that to come back, but it looks like it won't now.

Well, Burke does always comment, enviously, on Neal's lavish lifestyle. Maybe he wants a piece of it.

I'm going with the evil twin - Burke never wore that ring and like the previous poster - his hair was slicked and his voice different.

Great there isn't much on that I watch on Tuesday.

I just watched the last episode yesterday, shocking ending.

I don't see how this show can continue if they go down this path. The chemistry between the two leads is a large part of what makes this work, to have them turn on each other halfway into the first season seems to point towards a 1 season run. Not sure what they could do other than the evil twin idea to make this work.

I'll definitely be watching when it returns, just puzzled as to where they go from here.

That's what makes a good cliffhanger. "Shocking" scene right at the end, leaving us wondering how in the heck they're going to resolve it.

And of course what makes a good resolution is that it doesn't leave us feeling cheated (evil twin, Burke really is a bad guy, it was all just a dream, etc). We'll find out.

I wish this show can be more popular, it shouldn't be on firdays!!

That Bryce actor from Chuck is great as the main character in this show!

USA with another excellant show!

I don't care. It makes no difference that it's on Friday, USA will keep it around regardless for a few seasons at least. It's in no danger of kneejerk cancellation. If viewers are not tuning in now because it's on Friday, it's their loss not ours.

Regarding the twist the only other thing I came up with to explain it is that Burke wears the same ring as the bad guy - possibly belonging to the same secret organization or graduate class. He knows who wears the rings and tracked down Kate based on the photo Neil showed him and he's about to save/confront her.

The other thing worth noting is that Kate was wandering around freely when she's supposed to be kidnapped. Maybe she's just running a con on Neil and there is no bad guy. Maybe she is the "bad guy." It could be Burke's hand in the photo after all, but the only reason for that is that he caught up with her one day when he was trying to catch her and she later escaped. The end scene was Burke catching her again.

Of course Burke did look different this episode so maybe he is an evil twin. I thought the actor had died his hair at the beginning out of vanity!

Your wish has been granted. With Monk having ended, USA is breaking up the Friday night band so to speak, and is moving WC to Wednesdays for the second half of it's first season, with Psych airing Tuesdays in January.
I hope they remember how well [sarcasm] breaking up Friday nights did for Sci Fi a few years back...

Friday is the worst time since most people go outside to meet people.

Yeah, Syfy's pursuit of a different, more lucrative (read: female) audience has led to some changes in the way they program their series.

I think that's backwards, with WC on Tuesday and Psych on Wednesday.
What is Friday going to contain? Royal Pains?

I wondered if I got that right, but I couldn't locate the article thast reported the change. No word on what they're doing on Fridays, perhaps House repeats or movies.
