Yeah I can't figure that whole mess out, either. I mean, if they own both, then obviously they have to spend money on both...somehow operating USA is cheaper, I assume? So they move shows like L&O: CI over there because it wasn't doing as well as the other L&O shows, yet still well enough I guess to keep it from being canceled.
How they operate the two networks, though, is way beyond me. I'm just glad that USA has such good programming on, that's all! In fact, with the shows they have on, plus the shows that TNT has on in the summer, I rarely if ever watch network programming during the summer anymore. In fact I look forward to summer shows now, because they seem to be so of such a higher quality than most of the shows the networks have on now.
Thank goodness for cable shows like White Collar! I'm enjoying a lot so far...hope it's doing well enough to keep it on air for a while.

I'm just glad that there ARE alternatives out there now, such as TNT, USA, etc. that take a chance on new, quality shows, and give them time to develop an audience, even if the ratings aren't always stellar at the start.
