NFS Shift is a good pick too. The cockpit view is really good. Sense of speed is terrific. Racing action is well done. On sale now for $40.

I just picked up NFS-S and it is one of the better sounding games that I've heard. Not sure it tops Dead Space, but that game is more atmospheric. NFS-S will get the room rumbling.

No more suggestions until you update your construction thread with photos!

Uncharted: Drake Fortune is still among the best looking games outhere.
Stranged that no one mentioned MGS4!?!?

As gorgeous as MGS is, it's not something you could really sell to anyone that's not already in to the series. Seriously, a 90 minute cutscene, five minutes of gameplay followed by a 70 minute cutscene would not impress too many people.

I say Dead Space or Bioshock for the audio/video assault they provide. I'm picking up Shift after work too based on the mostly awesome feedback on it.

At one point my Wife walked into the theater while I was playing Batman and thought I was watching a movie

Congrats! Both are awesome games and I love how both have a lot of scenes which basically look like movies. I loved the cinematic effect of the "Credits" sequence for Batman AA as well as the intro for Dead Space.

BTW... increase your immersion level for both of these games by playing with the lights entirely off or very dim (depending on the black level of your TV etc)

Just out of curiosity, are the audio specs on some of these games (Batman: AA (interested), Mirrors Edge (owned on x360), and Dead Space) HD or are they like the x360 versions?

Yes Deadspace is a game that really benefits from the lights being out. The creep out factor ratchets up by a factor of 20 over playing with lights on. That's probably one of the most immersive games I've played in awhile.

Uncharted is a game best played with the lights out too, not because of the dark areas of the game but because it just feels like you're playing a movie and the effect is enhanced with the lights dimmed or off.

Getting into LittleBigPlanet again, I'm reminded of how great this game looks. It has a realistic yet stylish look that's just wonderful. The texture work and lighting is up there with the best of them.

In no particular order...

Uncharted 1 & 2
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
LittleBigPlanet
WipEout HD
Killzone 2
