Nvidia dualview to HDMI switching AV receiver

When switching inputs from my non-dedicated HTPC to anything else on my Sony STR-DH700 receiver it causes Nvidia dualview to disable as if there is no second monitor or in my case AV receiver connected to the card. By the way I am using a DVI to HDMI cable to connect to my reciever. Having to set up dualview after every change of input on the Sony is out of the question. There has got to be a better way.

Thanks

I hope thats not the only way. I'm tired of spending money, just bought the Sony receiver and a PS3. I'm cashed out.

At that price I could purchase another video card. Does anyone know if a ATI card setup up in their dual monitor mode would do right?

The issue is your TV/receiver combo, not you video card. You might have better success running HDMI to the TV and spdif to the AVR.

That's what I've always done with my Nvidia cards (8800GTS and 9600GT), and I've never had a problem with them losing the Sony W4100.

I would have done that, but I only have one HDMI input on my TV.

Has anyone tried Tulli's suggestion?
