Hey everyone,
I recently joined the forum because I needed some help with the tentative AV system in my new house (under construction, so this is the perfect time to work this stuff out).
My newest question is this: for those of you who have used in-wall/in-ceiling speakers, have you found that the sound leaks through to the next room more so than with floor-standing or bookshelf models? Soundproofing is a consideration in this home and we are double drywalling the whole thing, with green glue sandwiched in between the two layers for dampening. In-wall/ceiling speakers are the best option for us aesthetically, but I obviously don't want to waste all the $$ we're spending to block sound, either.
I searched through the forum and found a bunch of threads on in-wall and insulation, but couldn't locate anything that dealt specifically with sound-proofing. Any insight is much appreciated!
