I would honestly pick the LN40B530, the price point is a little more appealing and I was in the same boat as you. You can get it at vanns.com for 749 with free shipping. Hopefully this helps! I have done a lot of research and it looks like this was the best all around affordable TV.

I just bought the 42LH30 on Saturday for considerably less than the price you're showing here. It was on sale at Fry's for a wonderful price (but out of stock) yet Best Buy price matched it no questions asked. So, look into that price if you have a Fry's nearby (sale probably ends tomorrow), and take that into consideration.

I personnely would go with the Samsung. I have a LN46B530 and it plays fantasticly. Also if you go to Walmarts online site you can see the LN40B530 for $ 765. If you print out this page and take it to Sears they wil add match the price plus take an extra 10% off the difference. Making the TV about $ 760 Plus tax. They also may have it in stock at one of the sears stores around town.

i just go to sears, and they said they don't price match with walmart!!!

My Sears here did ad match for walmart. Make a copy of there (SEARS) ad match policy at there web site and take it into the store. There policy is to match any price from any brick and mortar store in the area. You may have to talk to the manager directly.

But bestbuy just have teh LG 42LH30 for $699!!!
Is it a better deal??
All the review said samsung is a superior unit. but this 42" is $50 cheaper
