Screen Size & Type for Epson 6500 UB

Hi

All Epson 6500 UB owners....Can you please provide your feedback on the following:

1. Screen Size you use

2. Screen make, material and Gain

3. Room conditions...(ambient light ..yes or no )

4. Sports viewing on HD with lights on or off


I am considering epson 6500UB and 118" screen for a decently light controlled room ( 17 x 21 deep) for movies and little bit ambient light for sports in HD.

I am confused whether Epson 6500UB can have the pop on a 118" screen

I mean...can epson 6500UB have the pop it is known for on a 118" screen ( I dont like high gain screens...i am ok with 1.1 to 1.5 gain ) in its BEST Mode for movie watching in a decently light controlled room ?

I am a 7500 UB owner, but I believe I should still qualify to answer

110" BW Carada 16:9 1.4 gain
Basement Dedicated HT. One window, blocked by curtain
Very little TV watching, but occasional sports.

Measure out your wall. Watch a few movies on different models.

I've been extremely happy with my Epson.

Eigeroes 7500UB give enough popand brightnessto the image on 110" Carada BW ? Do you think you feel like it can do similar perf on a 118' ?

I've got a 6500ub. I am using a 120" elite ez cinegrey screen. My room is 20' x 30' with some abmient light. Image looks good day or night. It's obviously better at night but the 1600 lumens from this projector make it totally watchable during the day. That's why I went with the grey screen. Although it's not that dark of a screen. If you didn't know better you would think it's white.
