Nice setup for sure!

Quick question tho, how is it that you have transformers and iron man at 16:9?
Do you have some kind of cropping going on.

Thanks,
Wayne

The Panny was in "Zoom" mode so a percentage of the image was/is indeed cropped.

In the "TV" shots it was back in 16:9 mode.

MM,
I'm very interested in the gator board product.
About a year ago, I was going to mud and smooth out a 5x12 screen the old fashion way.
Looks like procrastinating may have paid off

Just curious though, you get better performance from the gator board then a Wilson Art laminate if one were to apply Silver Fire for example?

I ask because there are advantages for me to get a roll of material into my basement as opposed to managing a 5x10 square piece around a corner.

If the gator board is flexible enough perhaps there's no issues.

MM will reply--but fyi my 1/2" GF board has no flex whatsoever, zero! I imagine there might be some flex in a much thinner board, but I sure would not count on it (depending on the corner you have to navigate). And a thinner board means more potential for damage just getting it home...

I can get 3/16" GF and can probably find someway of having Regal sandwich it between card board pieces for the ride home.

But it if has no flex than it's a no go.

Also, I haven't checked the Wilson prices lately but given the price quote I got today from Regal, it should be comparable.

Thus, if MM says performance is equal between the 2 with an applied spray technique, I think I know what I need to do.

That thickness Gatorboard will have plenty of Flexibility.

Well check for sure because WA-DW should be significantly more expensive

Well MM sez:

WA-DW has more a bit more gain than GB, but it comes with enough extra "frame-related" mounting issues to negate any advantage that offers. Add to that the hike in price and that makes GF/GB my advised selection.

BTW, I and one other person carried the 96" x 54" sheet you see in this thread around a upward 90 degree corner in a stair well. Yes, it was sent up at a steep angle, but it easily bent around the corner, and it was no real effort to keep the inside surface from out of contact with the inside edges of the corner as well..

You'll have to bugger it up pretty badly (...as in gouge or peel....) to not make any coating cover up a 'rub-like' blemish.

125 days? Old? Serves no purpose?

I beg to differ.

While it is a thread on spraying Gator Foam, the general info on this thread makes me feel that it should be a sticky thread. Just my $.02
