Mythos Seven a good choice?

Is the Definitive Technology Mythos Seven a good choice for a center channel speaker in my master bedroom?

I will be using a pair of MB Quart QLS 1030 floor speakers for the front. A pair of in-ceilings mounted in a vaulted ceiling for the rear.

I dont have the sub, Blu Ray player or the reciever yet. I will probably go with a mid-range Onkyo or Pioneer for the reciever.

The system will be mostly used for general tv, sports and movies.

Why not use the MB Quart QLS 330 center instead? It would be voice matched to your fronts. The Def Tech or any other line for that matter would not be the same. It is always ideal to go with the same series for the fronts.

I feel the same way, The Mythos center is not a good match.

Voice matching. Fronts and centers from the same line usually have the exact same tweeter and woofers. They are designed so a panning effect is seamless. This is almost impossible to do with different brands. Even in the same company, lines can sound very different with voice matching.

Try to find a used matching center if no longer made. audiogon is a good source.
