I'd like to do this with 3 LG 47 inch LED TVs. I'm pretty sure they don't have display ports. Are there cards that would provide 3 HDMI outputs? Or is one display port still a necessity?

You can get active displayport to hdmi adapters now, so you can do it. Just check the amd site to find an officially certified one.
