Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. I purchased a floor model 6 days ago at BB. Purchased for $1899 and $299 for the warranty and they gave me a free wall mount.
The set has a great picture and I love how adjustable the settings are (they are pretty easily manipulated). The media box was set at about a 70 degree angle from the television (pretty side facing out) about 10 feet away and I didn't notice any picture problem. I am by no means an expert on quality, only quantity
I love the idea of wireless, only time will tell if this TV will hold up. I thought it was worth the risk for the price and the quality. I can always just plug it in, but that's no fun! So, now the problem:
I noticed the fan running a little louder than I had originally anticipated over the first 5 days, and this morning when I woke up the box refuses to turn on.
I spoke with BB and they are trying to find a floor model replacement for ease, but didn't promise anything. I then contacted LG. The rep was extremely nice and he was very professional. Unfortunately, they won't be able to get anyone out here until Monday afternoon.
So, if you're looking at purchasing this television as a floor model, be prepared for a possible disturbance in your television viewing experience. But for the price I don't feel I should be picky.
Anyone else experience this problem?
