Is there a female adapter made to extend a banana terminated speaker wire? I know I could cut the ends but they are custom made.. Talked to monoprice and they suggested a RCA adapter: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

What exactly is it that you are trying to do?

Yeah, could you explain this a bit better? Are you trying to couple wires that are terminated with banana plugs? If so, the adapter you linked to will not be useful.

thanks for the replies.. my speaker wire is 9ft, it fits to rack but I wanted a few more feet to play with.. Should have went with 11ft.. That item from Pomona El. should do the trick . What about getting a 2 speaker wall plate from Monoprice and taking the couplers out of the plate? thanks for the help

Unless you purchased very expensive wire (totally unnessesary), I recommend that you just replace the wire with something of the correct length rather than try and cobble together an "extension cord" which could get pulled apart or otherwise not make good contact with the original banana plugs.
