Own Rockets RS750 sigs - Thinking of upgrading

I am thinking of upgrading to better speakers for 2 channel listening. The RS750 signatures sound pretty good. But I am wondering what people here would suggest for an upgrade.

I own a SVS ultra sub. I am not sure if I would need towers, if I could get integrate bookshelves would be nice due to the WAF issues I am currently having with the Rockets.

Price range $1000 - $2000. I am looking for best bang for buck sound quality. I don't mind buying used or b-stock for that price range.

I was looking at used Thiel 3.6's.

I just bought an Onkyo Pr-SC885 pre/pro and a Emotiva XPA-5. Source is the Squeezebox classic digital out into the pre/pro.

Any helpful thoughts

I would push that budget a little and get these. You would never have to look back (or up).

Salk has been getting a lot of good reviews. Definately worth a look.

If you're considering used speakers, the Thiel 3.6 speakers were produced for many years and went through many revisions. I think the final revisions sound a lot better than the first ones.

Some good suggestions from Chris above - I would add the Revel F32s since you are looking at full-range speakers, and the larger Paradigms, along with the Gallo Reference 3.1. There might be some of the Dynaudio Countour series in your price range, like the Contour 1.8 which are really nice.

Thanks for the suggestions I am going to try to listen to all of them before deciding.

Along with a set of Gallo Reference 3.1 speakers on the used market, their new Strada series should mate pretty well with your sub and be in your price range as well. They are pretty small and unobtrusive which should help with WAF too

If you haven't addressed your room with respect to figuring out how you can make it more speaker friendly, that might be a good place to start.
