Yes, you buy them directly from the company via the internet. You can get all sorts of speakers by way of the internet but not all of them are direct from the company - which theoretically saves a significant amount of money versus a comparable speaker from non-ID companies. FWIW, Aperion is a top notch outfit IMO. I have been to their headquarters twice and have nothing but praise for their product and their business practices.

most of them do, otherwise they wouldn't be able to compete

Avoid AV123 as if your life depended on it.

Im really liking Aperion! Very affordable prices and from what I've heard there speakers sound great.. Im leaning towards them as of now.

What speaker companys would you say compare to the same quality or better then Aperion? but in the same price range..

Oh, there's plenty of reasons, all of which are easily found across the multiple forums.

1. Poor quality issues.
2. Poor customer service.
3. Dishonest business practices.

When you combine questionable quality products with poor customer service...no product is worth buying.

I think all compare well to each other. It just depends on what you want.

Recently, a forum member here and at the Ascend forum compared the Aperion 6T tower to the Ascend Sierra-1:

Hmmmm, products of poor build quality. Amplifiers that buzz, hum, blow up and/or fail at alarming rates. Holding the funds of people who have paid for product and have nothing to show for the monies handed over. Mate all that with a CEO with shady business practices.

AV123 had a great following on here. All the complaints are over one bad amplifier design that was corrected in every unit to everyones satisfaction from what I read here and other forums. One mistake should not a company be judged on.

No, it was more than the mfw amp. Btw, that took a long time to correct. I would say the main reason to avoid av123 is the dishonest business practices. I don't want to hijack the thread so I'll say that the what I'm referring to can easily be found if you search even a little.

There have been two subwoofers with bad amplifiers. Not to mention all the veneer cracking issues and the disaster that was the X-Amp. Oh and the pre-paying for items that have yet to be delivered a year after payment.

While there have been issues with the company, the vast majority of the people buying from AV123 are satisfied.

Your idiotic statement about avoiding them as if your life depended on it was just that: idiotic.

This is not life or death stuff, it is audio products. Period.

I would say 3 to 5 years ago AV123 had a great and even cult like following but OBVIOUSLY they have had many issues. including dishonest business practices.

To say they have had "one mistake" is grossly underestimating the number of problems over the past many years.

If someone cares about company issues, ethics and stability then in my opinion they should stear clear of AV123. Other then that some of their products are pretty good $$$/performance choices (when they exist and work) and I have owned many of them.

Yeah, no one better use any kind of exaggeration or hype to describe their feelings about av123 because that kind of thing is just never tolerated. Never any hype there about their products, no sir craigsub sir, no, no, no.

Or maybe you really thought the guy was suggesting that buying from av123 would actually be a life and death thing? Not very intellectually honest of you now is it?

Those were his words, Dean, not mine. As for your genius post here, I suggest you look at what I said again. I was quite clear in stating there have been issues with some AV123 products. This does not change the fact that most people have been happy with purchases from AV123.

I realize that facts are not relevant to you, so please, continue with conjecture.

craig, you have the ability to make me wonder if I really post what I mean to say. I have to re-read my post, then look at your response, then try to figure out wtf you are talking about. Kudos to you, it's rare I get the feeling of talking to some kind of tourette's adled politician.

Dean, I am almost hesitant to try to explain this to you, but this isn't talking. It is typing. I don't expect you to even make an attempt to try to understand what I am typing. That would require you understand logic over hyperbole.
