I realize most here are "Audiophiles", I on the other hand am NOT. In fact, at near 60 I consider myself lucky to be able to hear at all.
What I've discovered is that my Pioneer DV410-V has no problem playing CD's. I then burned a DVD disk with .mp3's, it plays all but 4 of the tunes giving "Unknown Format" for the few it fails to play.
What I would like to do is get a very inexpensive DVD player like the Sony DVPSR200P to use as a dedicated .mp3 player. The Sony unit is currently selling for $39.98 at Best Buy.
With an estimated 30 hours playing time, this seems like an excellant idea!
1. Can anyone give me a reason to NOT do it?
2. Anyone know why some selections won't play?
3. Alternatives?
