How to put itunes movie and music to non-apple portable player?

I bought some video and audio from itunes and would like to put them to my portable player,but I am failure, whether they have protection or format require?---- how can I convert or transfer those files? Thanks advance!

I believe that all current audio files (songs) don't have any DRM. So if your device decodes (plays) AAC (MP4) you should be fine. Not sure about the video. Also if your device won't play ACC and you do have to convert you will lose quality since you would be converting from one lossy format to another (unless you convert the AAC to a lossless format like WAV or compressed FLAC).
