LG SL9000: new LED TV from LG

what is the different btw those two terms: around and behind.
i have seen the samsung ue series opened revealing the led layout which seams unfavorable to the design resulting to the clouding or bleeding effects.

i have not seen the tv yet but just want to know if it suffer from this defect. thankx

There's no way around that if the TV is side lit. Worse performance is also guaranteed.

This TV is designed primarily for aesthetics (looks), as it is very thin. The thin sets use side lighting rather than back lighting. As of now, back lighting is considered better than side lighting.

If looks are the most important thing about the TV, this one may be for you.

In the US, this is the SL90 series, of which the largest size is 47". I've only spent a couple of minutes watching one at the store, but I'd say they are just a step below the Samsung edgelit displays. Of course I didn't even think to look for flashlighting in the corners like Samsung's, so I can't say if they are the same in that respect.

Lack of large screens sizes makes this one I can't consider.

I am interested in this set as it's the newest LED on the market, even though edge lit.. I think LG is going to be coming out with a replacement to the LH90 as well. I will try to check if they have this on display in my area next time.
