It does for DVD and does an OK job with it. Sometimes, pretty good. As for blu-ray, it will not work but I've heard if you throw anydvd in the mix, you might get different results. I will hopefully get to test it this week.

Are there any decent computers out there with everything needed for 3d built in? I guess I could build one, just not much of a computer guy, and would rather not spend multiple days trying to figure out what I need and what needs to be done.
Also, anyone care to comment on how the 3d brightness is on a regular 1.0 screen? I currently have a 2.8 HP and really like it, but I'm considering switching things to an acoustically transparent like a Seymour. Even if I used the HP, I wouldn't be able to mount for optimal brightness. Thanks in advance for any input.
I'm not even going to look or ask what that sale price was. I HATE doing that. It always makes me say I should have waited.
As for a PC, if you don't want to build one, just make sure you get at least a dual core PC and buy a separate video card and blu-ray drive after the fact. Places like Tigerdirect often have cheap PCs that will do the trick and just add the 2 components later. As for the windows build, that's the easiest part with windows 7. Install, patch, install drivers, install player, done. It's when you start mucking around with the 3rd party media managers which could start eating up your time.
and as for brightness, I believe mine is a 1.4 The brightness of the Acer definately compensates for the lack of gain and does a great job with it. Sure, when putting on the glasses at first, you are going to notice a drop in brightness but after 5 minutes, it's all good...
