Recommend a 2 channel receiver with independent zone 2 output

Let me describe what I'm looking for and maybe you guys can point me to some options. I don't want to go with a separate tuner, pre amp, and power amp.

3-5 analog inputs
2 channel output
Subwoofer output
Independent, unpowered zone B with 2 channels (a subwoofer output here would be nice, but I'm not sure if this is common for a second zone)
Tuner

I don't require any video input/output at all. This is strictly for 2 channel audio. I don't listen to my music in surround sound. My requirements are pretty slim so I'm guessing there are a few options in the $500 area?

Eventually I will be feeding this receiver with a DAC. Thanks.

This might work for you: http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=...s=Receiver&p=i

You can purchase it here refurbished:http://www.shoponkyo.com/detail.cfm?..._id=1&detail=1
You need to create and account. Once you do it will show you a slightly lower price.

I believe it does what your looking for except for the sub output on zone 2. I don't know of a receiver that has that.

That Onkyo looks like it will do the trick.

I looked into the Rotel RX-1052 but there are no subwoofer outputs.

I also looked at the NAD C725BEE but you can't control the zone 2 volume with the receiver. My power amp doesn't have volume control so that's a deal breaker.

Does anybody else have another suggestion?

In the $500.00 range there are many home theater receivers that could be used for what you want. Unfortunately there aren't as many stereo receivers being manufactured as there use to be.

How about the Harman Kardon 3490? This seems to have most of what you're looking for.

Now that I think about it more I might not need a zone 2. I'm confused about what happens to the power output when a receiver has both A and B speaker outputs connected.

Say a receiver is rated at 50 watts x 2 @ 8 ohms. You plug in your speakers to the Speaker A outputs and they're getting 50 watts. What happens to the power output when you plug in an additional pair of 8 ohm speakers to the Speaker B outputs?
