Another 9G Elite and HMG question

I think I know the answer but haven't tried it yet (won't get home till late tonight).

I hooked my 111FD up to my PC over Ethernet. HMG Setup Auto gets me an IP address looking correct (same subnet etc). I can see and add my display to the WM11 media sharing tab (successfully). I can see the display from my network diagnostics on my PC.

Problem is I see no server listed in the Pioneer HMG Menu page. I tried Updating the Server list and got nothing.

Do I need to shut down my firewall? (using XP Pro Firewall) Isn't successfully adding the device to WM Media Sharing tab enough to open up the needed ports and services?

Maybe I spoke too soon. I disabled the XP Firewall to no effect. Still can't seem to get a server listed in HMG.

Any help appreciated.

I have the same problem. My computer recognizes the Pioneer, my router setup screen confirms the Pioneer has an IP address, but the SC-09TX doesn't recognize any servers. Servers have included my laptop running Windows Media 11 as well as my wife's and daughter's laptops. None are recognized even though they recognize the Pioneer.

I do have Apple TV setup, but it has its own IP address.

Anyone know why the servers recognize the SC-09, but not the other way around?

Well, I gave up and upgraded to Windows 7 (which I was planning to do anyway). My 111FD sees the WMP12 server with no trouble at all.
