Panasonic TC-P50V10 Purchase Advise

Looking to make first HDTV purchase. Been happy with my Sony Wega 36" for 10+ years now but must make move into the new technology available. After much research, I have narrowed my choice to the following: Panasonic TC-P50V10, Samsung PN50B850/860 and the Samsung LN52B750. I mostly watch TV via cable connect (Charter), watch sports often, and will upgrade to the HD package once purchased. I like the Panasonic but may miss the PIP and no wireless access. Both Samsung's have all the bells and whistles, but is the quality of the pictures equal to the Panasonic. Room does have windows, but watch TV mostly at night so room light may not be a problem unless I watch on a weekend day. Any advice or recommendations?
