Just bought the ROKU standard player last week and have the video connected via HDMI directly to the television however the audio is connected to the receiver by a toslink fiber optic cable.
So far the receiver only plays everything back in 2.0 channel sound. I went to Amazon to buy a movie that was specifically coded to 5.1 but it still played back in 2.0
What am I doing wrong?? in the Roku setup, I did enable 5.1 sound.
Still listening to stereo. Data transfer speed in from Comcast at approx 10-12Mbps. --Greg--
p.s. Also, since I only use a wired internet, I elected to go with the model that does not offer the wireless or USB port. Was that a mistake?? What could the USB port be used for?
