Looking to buy a 32" or 37" any help?

I am looking to buy a 32 inch or 37 inch depending on what I can get. It is for a bedroom and it will be used for mostly watching TV through a direct tv HD receiver and playing games via Xbox 360. I would like to spend no more than $600 and I would like the best quality TV i could get for the money. So I would rather get a better quality 32" then a mediocre 37". I see a lot of the 720p 60hz TVs are not to expensive. Is there a big difference with 1080p and 120hz on these size Tvs? Also any suggestions on a TV would be much appreciated. Thanks.

720p is fine for most people on a 32" but i would try to stay away from bottom of the line models and crappy brands. funai made brands like phillips, sanyo, Silvana, etc. as well as best buy branded sets like insignia and dynex, oh and westinghouse as well is pretty bad.

try to get a sony, samsung, sharp, toshiba, LG, panasonic, and even vizio's are pretty good TV's

toshiba, vizio and LG will prolly offer you the best bang for you buck feature wise, samsung and sonys will offer the best picture generally at extra cost to have the same features (1080p, 120hz etc)

looks like on the net you can find the Panasonic TC-L32S1 for a a little over 500 and it would be a great TV its 1080p and has motion enhancers as well, panasonic LCD's a very solid TV's

Second that opinion on the Panasonic S-1 series, careful shopping will find the 37" model at about 600. The audio on the 32 is a bit weak, but much better on the 37 (if you're planning on adding an audio system of some kind this is irrelevant, of course.)
