Help needed to pick out my new TV

Thread Starter
Since this thread was moved then closed i didnt get any answers so ill try again.

Now I have struggled with an LG 50PG6000 long and is about to buy a new tv. In this jungle of TVs is not easy to know what to go for. I have however found a couple of options:

Sony 52w5500
Panasonic TX-50v10
Samsung UE46B7070

I was pretty sure i was buing the Samsung, but then I heard that the viewing angle was bad. So I laid eyes on the Pana, but the guys at Hi-Fi club said I should not have it if I played video games on my TV. I thought this was not a problem on the new Pana? Then they came with a recommendation for the Samsung or Sony. The guys there were very LCD fans and would not recommend Pana for my usage. Sony, I have little knowlege of so if anyone has any input on this it would be nice. I have read a lot about the Pana and the Samsung, but I rely more on word of you guys here more than on a testi simply read.

I may well mention that my usage is: most HD movies and HD TV Shows from my PCH. second is my love for guitar hero, street fighter, etc. on the xbox 360, watching "normal" tv is not something i do often but it happens.

Help received with thanks.

Those model numbers seem odd... are the TVs from a warehouse club or something similar?

I think the Panny would be your first choice... if it's the current V10 model. Size makes a huge difference for me, so the Sony would be my secoong... assuming it's the current W5100 model.

In your list, Personally I like Sony 52w5500. The HD picture is amazing.

You can also have a look at Sony BRAVIA 1080p LCD HD Television, my friend told me that you can purchase a qualifying Sony BRAVIA 1080p LCD HD Television, and receive a Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Player and Sony HTC-T100 Sound Bar with Subwoofer for free.
That sounds good.

These freebies are go with those Sony BRAVIA 1080p LCD HD Television.
Hope it is useful for u.

Before you go making recommendations for the Sony KDL-52XBR9 (which is the one that comes with the Blu Ray Player and the HTB), you might want to avail yourself of the knowledge that that particular model has a very restricted viewing angle, picture quality rates only good on HD material, and only good on SD material.

That's one reason it is being promoted.

As far as your personal opinion on the 52W5500....I would take that with a grain of salt.
