camcorder for video and pictures question

I am looking for a nice camcorder that is HD (1080P), Image stabilizer, and can take really good pictures. I don't need it to be DSLR quality just something equal to my HP Photosmart 967 camera I have now. A couple camcorders I have been looking at are Canon HF200, Canon HF10, Canon HF10, and Canon HG10. I am not set on getting a Canon it just so happens those are the ones that have jumped out at me. I am open to any other suggestions up to $600. Thanks for all your help. I am a newb when it comes to camcorders.

HG10 and HF10 are quite dated and probably don't have very high MP still images. Canon HF S10 might work, but way more cash. Panasonic GH1, also way more cash. My Sanyo FH1 has 8MP still images and a nice price. But the stabilization kind of sucks. As long as you're braced against something or stabilized (tripod / spider brace / mini tripod) it does pretty good. Samsung HMX20C was one of the first with a decent still image MP rating. And others
