Definitive Prosub TL200 - Need help

Worth for $110, new? This is a 240v version so can only be used in the US with a step-up transformer. I was looking at BIC H100, PA-120 or BIC F12, but at $110.

If anyone's interested, an ebay seller with good reputation has couple of hundred these for sale at $79 + $30 shipping.

Ok, I went ahead and bought one

Now, I have two questions about the step up transformer from 110 to 220v.
1. SMPS or Linear?
2. Is a 500W supply enough for this 250W RMS sub?
