WD TV Live sudden problem

WD TV Live sudden problem

Hello guys, I don't know if you are having this issue, I am running a maxtor external hd through usb from my wd tv live and I am getting this message.

"Unable to play the select file. Please refer to the user manual on how to change the file to a supported format"

I know that is noto my files that got corrupted or my hd because I connect it to my desktop computer and it works like a charm, so it is a problem between the WD TV Live and my external maxtor HD 750GB.

The weird thing is that it shows all the directories and subdirectories and files when I try to select a file to play then it's where I get this horrible message.

Do I have to change , reset or do something to make it work again my WD TV Live? Please advise.

I did this and fixed the problem, but I am not sure if it was like a hard reset, I disconnected from the power supply my WD TV Live and turned it on again and fixed the problem. have any of you experienced the problem before like this?
