Gaming display advice for 52"+ HDTV around $2000+

What LCD HDTV would you purchase that would mostly be used for gaming? I am looking for 52"+ 1080p HDTV and am looking to spend a max of $3000 (ideally around $2000).

I wanted to post to the community again as I posted the same question 2.5 years ago and ended up buying a Sony 52" KDL52-W4100 which I have been happy with it (even upgraded with the latest firmware through USB which eliminated some issues such as the clicking noise). This TV is going to go into my living room so I have an opportunity to buy a new man cave TV for my gaming systems in the basement, all connected through HDMI and component video cables (PS3/Xbox 360/Wii).

Ideally I'd like to spend around $2000 but could go up to $3000 if necessary. I know I just missed the XBR9 deal from sonystyle a couple weeks ago (Sony 52" XBR9 TV + Blu-ray Player BDP-S560 + Sound Bar HT-CT100 for $2000) and was tempted for the Best Buy LG 55LH90 deal tonight (LG 55" LED 55LH90 + LG Blu-ray Player BD390 for $1900) but reading about the LG HDMI audio lag issues turned me off from that.

I wasn't able to find any recent similar posts through searches on this topic so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No, I was not able to find a gaming LCD thread specifically targeting 52" or bigger TV's for budgets over $2000 created anytime recent in the past 3 months.

If you are so quick to add no value, why don't you just point me to a thread that contains this information or are all your 2836 posts just as useless?

I'd get the 52 inch Sharp LE700UN LED which also has Vyper Drive Game Mode.
