Details on Samsung Plasma picture

I just bought a Samsung 58B650 plasma after my Toshiba 62inch DLP died. I'm really loving the colors on the Samsung, but I am noticing that the picture seems less detailed than the DLP - even though the DLP was only 720p whereas the plasma shows 1080i. On the DLP, I could see the pores on the actors faces, whereas it seems a little more blurred and less sharp on the plasma. I'm using the settings that many recommend in the owner's thread. I've tried pumping up the sharpness, but that just causes noise. Are plasmas generally less sharp than DLPs? Is there another setting I can try changing to get more detail in the picture? I'm using component outputs from my cable, not HDMI.

Mode: Movie
Cell Light: 10
Contrast: 76
Brightness: 45
Sharpness: 13
Color: 44
Tint: 50/50
Gamma: -1
Color Space: Native
Flesh Tone: +3
Color Tone: Warm1

Thanks!

This is just my opinion, and I'm sure that a lot of people will disagree with me, but I've never liked Movie mode. It just makes the picture too dark, and soft for my liking. Try switching to Standard mode, play around with the Cell Light, contrast, and brightness, and see what you can come up with.

Also, try a Normal color temp, instead of Warm 1. See if that helps ya at all. Once again, this is just my opinion, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Try cnet.com's settings for your tv, also I would try using an HDMI cable whenever possible. Do you have HD cable? I'm sure you can maximize the potential of you set with better settings and using High Defintion sources. I have a Samsung PN50B550 and I plan on getting HD cable. I do have a ps3 and movies look detailed and fantastic on it.

Allow me to recommend Tom's setting found in the link.

By the way, it took me a little while but I can see the movie mode being more accurate now. That said, any mode that pleases you is all good.

Thanks discopaul, those settings are pretty amazing. The picture looks so much better. I turned the contrast down a bit - the whites were too bright, but otherwise it looks really good.

Thanks to everyone else for the recommendations too!
