The sub sounds very good and blends well. It is not boomy at all, I think having the second sub at the rear of the room helps.
Work had pretty much come to a halt in the room after my last post. I concetrated on some Cat5 wiring, routers etc and started the baseboard trim. Most of the baseboard is up and I really became discouraged with the crown molding. I didn't have the right tools and it wasn't coming out right. I think I put it up three times only to tear it down.
Well, I'm happy to report that I've now overcome the crown molding obstacles and should have it installed by the end of the weekend. Also on this weekends list is the shelf in the stairway, subwoofer grill cover and some odds and ends.
Fast Forward: So it has only been a couple months and the crown molding, shelf and speaker grill are all done.
This has become the most used room in the house and I have no regrets about turning it into a family room with a nice integrated surround sound system for everyday use over a more dedicated space.
