Hey i recently had a samsung Htib-1250, and while it was decent, i wanted more. I bounced some ideas off a guy in the hitb section, and he was great help. After doing some reading i ordered the energy take classics for 149.99 and the yamaha yst-sw315 sub for 199.99. i got the denon avr-1610 open box at best buy for 299. it is for a bedroom. so i dont want to go over the top, especially being an apartment. but i was thing about upping the the front 3 speakers, maybe the energy c-50 (found a pair for 88), but cant seem to find the center, because i need black. and i might jump up to the pa-120 sub. What do you guys think? is this a decent bedroom setup. better than a yamaha 465 receiver, with say quintet speaker setup? i went to bb to listen to klipsch and all there speakers were blown on the floor setup except for the front left. and is this the denon 1610 a suffcient receiver for what i am lookin at and for posiible upgrade of the speakers later? any help at all is greatly appreciated.

The C-50's will be a slight improvement over the Take's, but since they are discontinued, finding the elusive center channel - C-C50 can be a bit of a challange, so internet searching is the only way. I'm not sure if replacing "very small" speakers with "small speakers" will be much of a noticable improvement.

Your Denon receiver and the Take's are probably "better" than the Klipsch quint's, but that would be a personal choice made after listening to both in your own home (this is where return policies come in ! ) The 1610 is better than the Yamy 465. It is a shame Yamaha chose to downgrade their Vxx5 line. Nice features, but they skimped on the amplifier section.

I can't be sure from your post, but it sounds like you have not had all this set up and running in the bedroom yet ??? If not, don't start a serious case of buyers remorse until you have given the system a chance.
