Energy RC-Micro Series Set Up

My old Bose 3.2.1 has been getting old and i feel in need of an upgrade. I've been looking for something small that will fit my 9/15 ft. office and something (along with the AV Receiver) with a price tag of under 1000$.

I've looked over the Energy RC-Micro System and it seems to fit my needs, along with the Onkyo TX-SR507 it comes out to be 880$.

Now to the point, Is there any other speaker system i can do better with for less or same amount of money? (give or take) same question goes for receiver as well.
And if any of you have tried these components together or apart, i would love to hear your opinion on there performance.

At something like $80-90 each, you can get Infinity P162s. These would do fine in a small room. The next step up would be like the Polk TSi100s at $200 a pair. It all depends on what kind of listening you want to do.

never heard the Energy's but if you can get last years 606 you'd be much happier with your receiver choice. I've mentioned this in other post but you can get the JBL SCS 500.5 speaker package online for $324. For the price they sound great in my opinion.

The Energy RC minis are $99 each. Energys will give you a much warmer sound than Polk if you play any music.

The HTR-160 (practically the same with 607) is now just $329.

But considering that this is a strictly 5.1 for an office setting, which is probably just for background music, I think 507 or even 307 would have sufficed.

Newegg has 307 for $220, and 507 for $280.
