Wall mount height and center channel overlap

Lots of threads on how high to mount a TV, and lots on center channel placement, but nothing on how close they could or should be.

I'm going to be placing my center channel on a cabinet, and wall mounting my TV as low as possible over the speaker. But how low is possible?

The TV will fit entirely behind the speaker, so should I align the physical bottom of the TV with the top of the speaker, or could I go lower to where the screen actually starts?

For reference the cabinet is 19" high, the center channel is 7" high. It's a 42" Samsung B450 and viewing height is 32-36ish. (low couch)
Mounting the TV bottom at the same height as the top of the CC is going to center the TV around 41 inches, that is why I had hoped to get it a little lower, but I wonder if I'll be bothered by the speaker cutting into the silhouette of the TV.

Your comments, tips or humiliation is appreciated.

Well I went safe with TV flush to the Center channel... Seems ok. Maybe in the future I'll get the center in the cabinet and drop the TV another 5 inches.

It's unlikely that a display's built-in speakers will ever be as good as a discrete center-channel unit.

Leaving 7" vertical space between the supporting furniture/shelf/cabinet and the bottom of the display should allow for a decent-size CC speaker. Just make sure the wallmount has enough holes to be able to adjust it to that height in the future.

If the speaker overlaps the TV, I think it will look odd when you are on the couch, but not watching the TV. IMO, the extra 2" in height to have visual seperation will not make or break your viewing angle, especailly if you have 8' or more viewing distance.
