I have a 55" 55HDX61 plasma I bought new 5 years ago ( out of warranty now). Recently it has developed an issue visible in dark scenes where there is movement. During movement, part of the dark area develops white pixels which diminish after a second. They reappear when movement starts. It does this on either HDMI or component input with different sources.
Not sure if this is a known problem? Or could be in the AVC box.
Any suggestions?
Could I send a signal into the panel via the DVI connector it has on the rear panel or is this proprietary to Hitachi?
Just trying to troubleshoot this the best I can. I suspect I could buy a new panel for the cost of any repair work.
