I know this may sound like an unusual question, but up until now, I was pretty much set on the Panasonic TC-P50S1
50" 1080p plasma set, to replace our 42" 720p model, sometime around the end of Q1'10 (bonus time).
However, even though I really like our plasma's picture, there is a slight problem with glare which thankfully just affects one specific viewing angle. It just happens that this particular angle is when we're viewing it, on occasion, from the kitchen. Since this problem (obviously) happens during daylight hours, we cannot always fix the glare source (sun) since we don't want to darken the living room all the time.
With this in mind, I am now considering LCDs, but I have no idea which model to even begin considering. So I was hoping, by having the Panasonic's S1 price and feature-set known, it would be a little easier to find a similar LCD model.
The main features are:
-
- 1080p
- 3 or more HDMI inputs
- no VGA needed
My biggest concern is the 120/240hz feature on some LCD sets, though this concern is just based on what I read, I've never really seen it in action myself.
Any suggestions?
