parts on stand-by

not worried about audio at this time, will be getting a new/low profile 5000 series card sometime soon..when avail.

ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO AM3 AMD 785G $80

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 $80

AMD Athlon II X4 630 Propus 2.8GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache AM3 95W Quad $112

LITE-ON Black 4X BD-ROM $50

already got a case, and 1.5 tb hdd. will be used for htpc only with just a front end...will back up my blu rays to system...

any tips or comments.....appreciated... thanks

I bought a quad, but if I had it to do over again, I think I'd prefer more clock rate and less cores. jmho. Not to say my quad doesn't work fine, I just think it could work better, and possibly for less money.

Looks good. Get a good quality, quiet, power supply.

if you dont need the quad core for encoding tasks then stick with a dual core.
