My nec ht1100 just died. I"m building a house and will be moving in about a year and was planning on picking a new projector based on the new home theater room (will probably be small)but currently projecting from a ceiling mount at 12 feet(was a good distance for ht1100) in a 22 foot room. So... I'm looking at $1000 or less pj's and am considering the epson hc720 due to its lens shift capability and placement flexibility and price with free extra lamp but I keep thinking I'm cheating myself by not getting one of the new sub $1000 1080p's dlp's (optoma or vivitek). The choice would be easy if these were placement flexible also but I've read they're not. Can anybody confirm of deny this. I'll probably be projecting from a shelf in the back of the HT in the new home at 14 feet or so. Finally, I've always had dlp's. Am I likely to dislike lcd's because of this? Thanks in advance for any ideas.
