One person on this forum at the time I was having my trouble had bought a 3 chip which was so far out of convergence it literally separated the colors acting as a grating and they refused to replace it saying it was in spec. Of course they have so spec for convergence just like they have no spec for lumen output for the Sim2 Ht380
It took them year and half to figure out, if you placed your PJ upside down the convergence goes crazy. My unit went in for defective fan repair and came back with major convergence issues and it took them 18 months and $3500.00 of my money to finally have a new DMD installed. The Sim2 PJs are great machines, but if you need service watch out, you're in for a ride.
If this was an American car company, most likely I would have gotten a replacement.
This company left a very bad taste in my mouth and the people in Italy who run Sim2 should know about this.
I fully understand the people who support the Sim2 service dept are dealers, but without the happy end users, Sim2 has a lot to learn.
