Finished Home Theater System.

I moved into my new house a few months ago. I've been working on an unfinished space in the attic trying to turn it into a man cave. I made the living room our home theater space.

I chose to do a tower also because towers seem to be much cheaper than dedicated center channels. Only drawback is that I have an extra tower I'm not using since they were sold in pairs.

It does HD bitstreaming as well as pcm. The system is still new, and I've run into a few snags with certain discs, but it should be pretty stable in the next few months with firmware updates like the previous a-100 models. I feel they released it a bit too early. It will play bd iso's as well.

I have a 35 ft run, without issues. The gauge of my wire is also very thick. I don'y know exactly, but it's probably twice as thick as a normal hdmi cable. If you need longer, they make cat 5 extenders.

It's the cheapest one they had at target.

I used the tower center also because I had an MTM center, but dialogue was very hard to hear due to the horrid room acoustics. The tower made a huge improvement.

I just picked up some black shelf brackets, and a big white vinyl laminate mdf closet shelf board at home depot.

I cut she mdf into two pieces, and spray painted them black. I then screwed the brackets into the sheet of mdf.

It's an omnimount center channel mount.

Great quality. This is actually the second screen I owned, I have one in the garage as well, since I moved to a new house and needed a smaller screen.

Setup takes probably about 20 minutes. Very easy to setup.

It's sitting on an auralex gramma. It's supposed to isolate the sub from the floor to tighten up the bass a bit. It was about $50.

I'm sure you'll be happy with either SVS sub, they're probably very similar.

If you decide on the PB-12, it would probably be best to buy to of the pads. The enclosure is pretty large, and two of them would probably fit much better. I'm probably going to buy another one soon. It does help from shaking the walls, but if you do buy this sub, the walls will shake regardless. It's a very high impact sub that weighs 75lbs. It was built to make some noise.

I was watching the movie "9" not too long ago, and some of the bass scenes caused the sub to blow a stack of papers off my coffee table. If you look at the photos, my sub is a good 12-15 feet away from the table.
