Buying before or after Christmas?

if you can find online buy online. much cheaper usually than BB (not sure what American is). no tax + free ship & prices are still cheaper...

I'm someone with more experience in the computer world, as opposed to the home theater world, but here's my advice:

Buy what you need, when you need it.

As long as it is in your budget and does what you need it to do, that's all you really need to worry about.

That's because electronics always get cheaper. If you are waiting for the best price, you will be waiting a long, long time before you pull the trigger and buy something. There will always be another sale, another killer deal, new models to coming out...some reason to wait just a little bit longer.

Yeah, aside from Black Friday, which has passed, you probably won't see too much of a price drop at Christmas compared to any other time of the year. Just look for online with cheap or free shipping that undercuts the stores, or look for a store with a price match guarantee (either to other stores, or themselves if they cut the price.)
