Fox's broadcast was phenomenal on my XBR9 though.
If you have a bright room, definitely increase the backlighting. As with any calibration settings, use these as a starting point and adjust for your specific viewing environment.
I must say though, the XBR9 is capable of exceptional picture quality. I am particularly impressed with the black level achieved through standard CCFL backlighting.
Also, instead using vivid, consider using custom or standard.
