Swiss manufacturer Goldmund introduces its very expensive Eidos reference Blue Blu-ray player. Only 50 units will be produced.

Hand-built in Geneva, the Eidos Reference Blue provides the playback of blu-ray discs in addition to the DVD and CD playback of extreme quality. It is both multi-zone and multi-region.

A PS3 will look just as good, but if you are one of at least 50 people in the world with more money than you know what to do with and an interest in Blu-ray disc, here you go.

I do think it's a tad excessive. One thing about the high end is sooner or later these technologies trickle down to pieces that working stiffs like me can afford.
