Comcast DVR DCT6412 HD Guide in 4:3

I just had my Comcast DCT6412 installed a few weeks ago. The channel guide on my HD channels are displaying in 4:3 and the non HD channels are displaying in 16:9. I changed the menu option to override the 4:3 mode to 480i and have a HDMI cable connecting the devices. My TV menu is also set to 16:9. I called Comcast and the Tech support said to power cycle the DVR and after that, they were out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

At this time, no cable company DVRs support a 16:9 HD guide. The program guides on all cable company DVRs are 4:3. [FiOS uses a stretched 4:3 EPG on their QIP7216.]

Moxi is the only cable DVR available with a true 16:9 guide. Refer to the feature comparison in my signature.

I am really just looking to get the complete guide in a stretch or full screen instead of the 4:3 screen. If I go to a non HD channel, the guide comes up in full screen. I can then jump to the HD channels and see the screen in full. If I am on a HD channel and hit the guide button, it shows the guide in the smaller format(4:3)

The Comcast DVRs will not stretch the guide to fill the screen. The only reason you see a stretched guide on 4:3 SD channels is because you enabled 4:3 override at 480i; that allows your TV (not the box) to stretch the picture to fill the screen.
