I'm a little miffed at Panny at the moment considering my 35 blu-ray died just 13 months in. It plays CDs and DVDs just fine, but won't spin BDs! However, I may be just one of the lucky ones to get a lemon - so I'm not writing Panny off if their new BD players are more than competitive.
I returned 2 BD60 (got 1 free when I bought my plasma) and got the Sony N-460. I like the Sony better and I do care about Netflix. I am now returning the 460 because I just ordered a S570. I have few SACD disks and I got the 570 for the price I paid on the 460, otherwise I would keep the 460.
Problems I had with the BD60:
-The 1st unit was freezing , firmware fixed the problem after I had it returned.
-2nd unit was picky with few BD disks, some requiring the SD card inserted and some requiring no SD card at all. Enough of babysitting, returned it and got the Sony.
I decided no more Panny player to me but I think the new BD85 can be really good. Although I don't care about 3D (now) , I can take it for free.
