I just bought and received my package for a set of Onkyo SKS-HT870 7.1 speakers (I'm pairing it with the Onkyo HT-RC160). Everything was fine until I realized the package had been damaged (and subsequently covered up). The damage happened to miss all the styrofoam in there and hit the side of one of the front tallboy speakers. It left a top-half of the thumb looking dent in the middle on the side and cracked the wood housing in the back. When I hooked it up, it seemed to play fine. The damage doesn't occur where the actual speakers appear to be.

The company I bought it from offered 10% back on the purchase to compensate as opposed to filing a claim with the shipping company and waiting 2-4 weeks for a new set. My question is whether this type of damage will affect the long term performance of the speaker set? Would it be better to return or keep? Thanks!
