DRC versus Dialog Enchance

So I just moved from a house to an apartment, and some of these Blu-Rays have such insane dynamic range that I have to make adjustments so that I can enjoy the movie without blowing out the neighbors.

So what do you think is a better solution if you have a 7.1 system. Reduce volume of effects in relation to dialog, or increase dialog in relation to effects.
In other words, DRC versus Dialog Enhance? And lets throw Midnight Mode in there just for kicks. Which one would you use and why?

And yeah, I too once felt that using either of these controls was blasphemous, but hey.............things change.

Of the three choices you've given, I'd pick Midnight Mode. It's made to overcome the exact problem you're describing.
